Give65, the signature program of the Home Instead Foundation of Canada, is the main way the Foundation distributes funding to charitable organizations serving aging adults. Many older adults rely on charities for basic needs, including meals, transportation, socialization and more. Give65 is an online giving platform exclusively for these charitable organizations serving older adults. Give65 provides matching grants and bonus grants to inspire greater charitable giving in support of the older population.
Here are the upcoming Give65 fundraising events:
- Give65 Event: July 13 – 16
- #GivingTuesday: November 30
Through the Give65 Event, a 65-hour online giving event held in July, charities rally their communities to raise funds, recruit volunteers and increase awareness for their programs and services that are giving aging adults hope! Whether you’re a charity looking to raise additional funding or a potential donor who wants to give back to older adults, we encourage you to visit Give65.ca to learn more about the Foundation’s signature program.
Making a gift in honour or in memory of a loved one is a touching tribute to their life and legacy. All gifts are recognized with a receipt letter to the donor, as well as an acknowledgment letter that is thoughtfully created to the honoree or family of the remembered. Gift amounts are confidential and will not be shared in the acknowledgment letter.
Honour your CAREGiver
This meaningful program provides an opportunity to honour a Home Instead CAREGiver who has made a positive, lasting impact. The CAREGiver receives a special letter informing them that a gift has been made in their honour. The Home Instead franchise office that employs the CAREGiver is also notified of the tribute gift so they can recognize the CAREGiver in a special way. Gift amounts are confidential.
Be a Santa to a Senior
Be a Santa to a Senior, a program of Home Instead, was established in 2003 with the intent to spread holiday cheer to isolated aging adults who might not otherwise receive a gift or a visit from a family member during the holidays. Since then, hundreds of thousands of aging adults have benefited from a wrapped gift or a friendly visit during a season that can feel lonely. The Foundation can assist in establishing and vetting partnerships with registered charities serving aging adults in your community. Ways to Give
The Foundation is grateful for your generosity and is able to accept numerous donation methods in support of less fortunate aging adults. To discuss any of these giving options in greater detail, please feel free to contact Lenli Corbett, executive director, at 402-575-5950 to facilitate any of the following giving options.
Cash, check or credit card
The Foundation is able to accept cash, checks or secure online giving with a credit card.
A pledge agreement allows a donor to make a contribution to be paid over a period of one to five years.
Gifts of stock
Gifts or appreciated securities help a donor support the mission of the Foundation while avoiding capital gains and earning a charitable tax deduction.
There are many legacy gifts to consider. You may wish to remember the Foundation in your will or choose any other planned giving option.
